Networking & Collaboration
Build relationships with key industry players through conferences, committee participation, and one-on-one cooperation
Conferences
KCMA hosts 2 conferences each year - our Spring Leadership Conference and our Fall Management Conference & Plant Tours. You’ll return from these conferences with new ideas and exciting plans for your business. You’ll also be inspired with strategies for your company from our educational sessions. The connections our events facilitate with other industry professionals are invaluable; you’ll also get plenty of face time with cabinet industry suppliers. Our conferences are small but the benefits are huge!
Spring Leadership:
This conference combines educational programming on critical industry topics, the annual business meeting of KCMA, and extensive networking opportunities in a resort-casual setting. Topics covered include technology solutions and challenges, the state of the housing and remodel market, current trends in design, workforce development, advocacy updates, and much more. Networking opportunities include off-property excursions (mountain biking, kayaking, fishing, golf, shopping as examples), 3 cocktail receptions, and a dinner hosted by the KCMA President.
Fall Management:
The highlight of this conference is always our plant tours - we find a variety of manufacturers in the area surrounding the venue that highlight some of the history and innovation of the cabinet and supplier industries. We also identify adjacent industry partners (lumber, office furniture manufacturers, etc.) so attendees have opportunities to learn what works in other industries to bring home to their own plant. Networking opportunities and educational programming round out this event.
Committees
KCMA has seven standing committees. The committees help guide KCMA priorities and programs. They also give committee members opportunities to collaborate on issues important to our industry and to learn from each other along the way.
Committee membership is open to any Active (cabinet manufacturer) member; Associate (supplier) members can join the Associates Committee and the Emerging Leaders Council.
The full list of committees and their mission can be found here. To join a committee, email KCMA and indicate which committee(s) you'd like to join.
One-on-One Cooperation
Capitalizing on the relationships you form at our conferences and using the membership directory, you can reach out directly to your peers, suppliers, or manufacturer partners for input, suggestions, brainstorming and general knowledge sharing. KCMA members are always open to collaborating with other members.
