“I attended my first KCMA conference more than 15 years ago. Over the years, I have found the twice annual conferences to be a source of timely information for my business. Also, through the KCMA I have made some wonderful, life-long friendships. The KCMA conferences feature top-rated speakers, and provide an opportunity to mingle with others in the industry to discuss trends and legislative and regulatory issues. The events each fall also provide a members-only opportunity to participate in guided tours of other member’s manufacturing facilities. I have picked up many ideas from walking through someone else’s plant and talking with them about their methods and processes. The KCMA also administers two long-standing certification programs: the 'Certified Cabinetry' product labeling program, and the 'ESP' designation. Buyers regularly ask for these certifications, and they can be required to bid on projects. If you are not currently a KCMA member, I encourage you to join!”
