The American Alliance for Hardwood Plywood (AAHP) is an organization of American importers, distributors and manufacturers of hardwood plywood, along with other U.S. companies that depend on the availability of global resources.  The AAHP was re-formed to oppose the petition filed on November 18, 2016 with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), asking that punitive tariffs be imposed on hardwood plywood imported from China that is widely used by U.S. kitchen cabinet manufactures.
Today, KCMA’s Board of Directors voted to join forces with AAHP and will assume a leading role in defeating this petition at the ITC.  KCMA will likely testify at the upcoming hearing on December 9, 2016 before the Commission and will provide supporting information and data on the impact to the cabinet industry of the petition during the process.   KCMA will continue to focus on protecting our members and defending the integrity of the cabinet industry.   We will keep our members informed as the case progresses.
