The United States Department of Labor, Wage and Hour Division, recently announced the final changes to the regulations that govern white collar overtime exemptions that will go into effect December 1, 2016.

The rule would increase the minimum weekly salary level required for the Fair Labor Standards Act’s executive, administrative and EAP exceptions from $455 to $913 a week and for the highly compensated employee, raises the annual compensation from $100,000 to $134,004.
