Reston, VA – The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) has joined the US Department of Labor (DoL) as a partner for the 2018 Safe + Sound campaign.
The Safe + Sound campaign raises awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs that include management leadership, worker participation, and a systematic approach to finding and fixing hazards in workplaces.
The goal of the campaign is to encourage every workplace in the U.S. to have a safety and health program, a proactive approach to identifying and managing workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness.
“KCMA is committed to helping our members create the safest workplaces possible. We conduct a Safety Survey each year highlighting our members’ health and safety practices, but we wanted to do more,” explained Betsy Natz, CEO, KCMA. “We’re proud to partner with DoL and OSHA to promote successful safety and health programs among our members and the cabinet industry as a whole.”
The campaign includes Safe + Sound week, a nationwide event taking place August 13-19, where businesses around the country host events or activities that can help initiate or energize a safety and health program. Safe + Sound Week is a great opportunity to show your commitment to safety. If your company is interested in hosting an event during Safe + Sound week, click here to learn more.
