According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in overall cabinet sales of 13.4% for November 2021 compared to the same month in 2020. Custom sales rose 18.9%; semi-custom sales were up 5.1%. Stock sales jumped by 18.1%.

The month-to-month comparison (November 2021 to October 2021) was less bullish, with the numbers down slightly across the board:

  • Overall sales slowed by 3.4%
  • Custom sales dropped 3.2%,
  • Semi-custom down 4.7%
  • Stock sales dipped slightly by 2.5%

YTD sales remain healthy. Overall cabinet sales are up 14.6% when compared to the same time period in 2020. Custom sales up 20.1%, semi-custom sales up 10.8% and stock sales increased 16.2%.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than forty years.
