According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association’s (KCMA) monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in overall cabinet sales of 14.0% for June 2021 compared to the same month in 2020. Custom sales are up 23.4%, semi-custom increased 18.7%, and stock sales increased 9.2%.

An even stronger indicator of the industry's continued recovery is the month-to-month comparison. Overall sales increased 6.1% in June 2021 compared to May 2021. Custom sales were up 13.7%, semi-custom sales up 6.2%, and stock sales increased 4.6%.

2021 sales also remain strong. Overall year-to-date cabinet sales are up 20.2% when compared to the same time period in 2020. Custom sales up 23.5%, semi-custom sales increased 20.9% and stock sales increased 19.1%.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 75% of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than forty years.
